Analysis - 1744 Words

First of all, the Macedonians gave liberally out of generous hearts. In verses 3 and 4: â€Å"They gave according to their means and beyond their means.† This is really the standard measure of Christian Stewardship. It levels the playing field for all us. They gave according to their means. You see, we’re not all asked to give the same amount because we all don’t possess the same resources. The tithe is the great equalizer. In reality it puts us all on common ground, and none of us are left out because we can all tithe according to our means. They gave according to their means; this seems pretty logical. Now when we get to this part of the story we might say, â€Å"Hang on a minute Moses, you’ve made a mistake here. You’ve put a qualifying statement in there that is probably going to limit the offering especially when you say, ‘Whoever is of a generous heart.’ But Moses did what God told him to do and it worked. When Moses put the word out, the people began to bring their most precious gifts. They brought broaches, and bracelets, and rings, and signet rings, and earrings, items of gold and silver and they presented them unto the Lord. And then the most shocking thing happened. Moses’ assistants came to him and said, â€Å"You’ve got to stop this. You’ve got to stop it. We already have more than enough to do what the Lord wants us to do† and then in the sixth verse of the 36th Chapter, it happened.Show MoreRelatedPestle Analysis867 Words   |  4 PagesCompiling and Using a â€Å"PESTLE† Analysis 1.1 A PESTLE analysis is a tool that acts as a prompt to the staff and governors involved in the analysis of the developments in the school’s environment that could affect its risk profile.
